Movie career: Her debut film was chakram with the famous actor MohanLal in malayalam.She was initially rejected by director K.S.Ravi Kumar and later when she got hits in the starting movies he offered hear lead role in the movie 'dasavatarm' opositte to Kamal Hasan.She rejected the role and Asin replaced her.Her initial movie career was no t so good as she got dropped chances like film run and manasellam.But her star turned with her first hindi film 'Parineeta' which is a hit earning her the Filmfare Best female debut award.
